SJ current focus is to help R&D teams fast track their Digital Transformation by adopting FAIR principles, embracing Digital Culture, implementing Data Governance and leveraging AI/ML solutions.

Kevin Cramer

As CEO and Chief Scientist at Sapio, Kevin is the driving force behind our lab management and electronic lab notebook software with an emphasis on process automation, data capture and analytics to position companies to interpret their data for faster discovery. Kevin has an extensive background in machine learning, statistics, and software design. Kevin founded Sapio in 2004 and quickly grew it into one of most respected and sought-after LIMS/ELN firms with its Exemplar family of Digital Lab solutions. Kevin has co-authored several papers in Nature Genetics related to using machine learning and other methods to analyze genetics data.

John has 30 productive and successful years of R&D experience. John was recently the Head of R&D IT/CIO for Medimmune, the large Molecule division of AstraZeneca and Former Head of Data Sciences and AI for AZ after the Medimmune Brand was consumed.

He was also with Schrödinger, LLC, where he was Vice President of Professional Services and Solutions.

Previously, John was Global Director of Scientific Informatics and Solutions at Accelrys, Inc. and head of US Lab Automation for the Discovery Informatics Department at GlaxoSmithKline, Inc. Prior to GSK, John spent many years at Merck and Co.

John’s early career includes serving as an analytical biochemist at Tektagen, Inc. (now Charles River Laboratories), a Senior Forensic Scientist at the Pennsylvania State Police, and Co-Founder of Avecon, a diverse diagnostics company. His education includes biochemistry and molecular biology at Pennsylvania State University and Lehigh University.

Paul Denny-Gouldson

Paul has built up extensive experience in a board range of scientific, informatics, and data areas spanning research, development, manufacturing and clinical studies.

Prior has over twenty years of experience with global scientific informatics product leaders, during which time he also founded several companies focused on combining science, technology, and business. He started his career as a Post Doc and subsequently Senior Scientist at Sanofi-Synthelabo Toulouse (now Sanofi) for just under five years, where he managed a multidisciplinary molecular and cell biology department. Paul obtained his Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Essex University.
